The photokina picture shows are the direct predecessors of the Visual Gallery. L. Fritz Gruber set up the picture shows and was for years responsible for them. A retrospective exhibition brings together for the first time images and written documents from the estate of L. Fritz Gruber with black-and-white and colour photos by the London-based photographer Charles E. Fraser. The exhibition is a project of the German Society for Photography (DGPh) in cooperation with the Historical Archive of the City of Cologne , Koelnmesse and Prophoto GmbH.
