One of the stars represented at this year’s Visual Gallery is the photographer Martin Parr from the Magnum agency in Paris . His work presents a panorama of social distress, such as the collapse of social connections, the manic pursuit of leisure and enjoyment, and the phenomenon of global tourism. Parr looks at people and situations meticulously and seems to be making fun of the food they eat, the clothes they wear and the places they go to.
